I will trace the universe
constellations in hand
infinity preserved in verse
stardust turned to man
I will dance along moonbeams
the stars my guiding lights
and ith each step my dreams will grow
far beyond this night
I will walk the morning sun
to the edge of the very last ray
let it fill me breath to lung

This is the tale of the beauty of Venus
and how she was showered with love.
Men would come from afar to sail
to her and profess, How I love thee, Aphrodite!

Kiss the Sun
Sunlight kisses
my eyes,
slanting
through lobby windows
across old furniture
and yellow-and-green carpet.
and mare's tails,
drifting,
whisper of more good to come -
dry days are ahead.
I see you and I see light
making these simple things
out of darkness
and when the sun kisses my eyes
I want to kiss it back,
and I do,
with head full
of words
and eyes richly speaking.
